Project Aim

The scope of Canon Fodder aimed to research design modes that were not traditionally acknowledged or recognized in a broader standard within the design community.

I focused Folk Design, particularly the practice of paper cutting methods to create visual imagery.

Inspiration

Inspiration drew from viewing cutout designs and observing the differences and similarities within different cultures and communities.

Zine Layout

The zine was structured to highlight the designs visually and educationally.

Design Creation

Drawing inspiration from researched and observed designs, tracings and cutouts were digitized and incorporated into the zine composition.

Social Media Posts

A themed post highlighting examples of the style studied.
