A speculative rebrand concept developed for Fox Valley Tattoo, a local studio in Algonquin, IL. This self-initiated project explored what a modernized identity could look like for an established local business rooted in tattoo culture.






Fox Valley Tattoo required a cohesive visual identity that reflected the studio's craftsmanship, creativity, and connection to the local community. The challenge was creating a brand system that felt distinctive and professional while remaining flexible enough to work across a variety of customer touchpoints, from social media and merchandise to environmental graphics and promotional materials.
I developed a comprehensive visual identity system centered around a custom logo, typography, color palette, and supporting brand elements. The design process focused on creating a recognizable and adaptable brand language that could scale across both digital and physical applications. By establishing consistent visual guidelines and exploring real-world applications, the identity was designed to maintain recognition while accommodating the studio's evolving needs.
The resulting rebrand presents Fox Valley Tattoo as a cohesive and memorable brand experience rather than a collection of individual assets. The visual system demonstrates how a unified identity can strengthen recognition across customer touchpoints, creating consistency from social media and marketing materials to merchandise and environmental applications. This project highlights my ability to build scalable brand systems that balance creativity with practical implementation.









Note: This is a speculative concept project. Fox Valley Tattoo is an existing local business and this rebrand was not commissioned by them.
