Bangkok Thai: Brand Identity System

Project Type
A speculative rebrand concept developed for Bangkok Thai & Sushi, a local restaurant. This self-initiated project explored what a modernized identity could look like for a restaurant whose existing branding didn’t reflect the depth of its cultural roots or the quality of its food.
The core challenge was creating a visual identity that felt unified rather than split between two cuisines, while still honoring cultural symbolism instead of relying on generic Asian restaurant visual tropes. So the visual direction was built around two anchors: a logo mark that reimagines the letter B as a stylized snake, drawing on Naga imagery from Thai mythology, and a color palette of forest green, gold, and cream that feels warm and upscale rather than trend-driven.
The identity extends into a full website layout concept, designed in Figma and Adobe XD, exploring navigation, menu presentation, and imagery that would give the restaurant a stronger digital presence than its current site. The result is a brand that feels rooted in cultural meaning while giving the restaurant room to grow its identity across signage, packaging, and digital platforms.

Note: This is a speculative concept project. Fox Valley Tattoo is an existing local business and this rebrand was not commissioned by them.
